Meditation is a mind-body practice that can help you remove fears, reduce cravings, strengthen self-awareness, and increase your ability to make proper choices in stressful situations. Meditation is a way to strengthen your “peace of mind” muscles, and one form of meditation is to direct your mind’s awareness towards your breath.

Rather than managing the stress, what needs to be managed is our response to stress. Meditation is a powerful way to practice our response to stress. We can create the space within ourselves to make healthy choices, without being caught up in our habitual responses.
